Holstein Kiel - 1860 München

This is the first game between Holstein Kiel and 1860 Munich. After 33 years Kiel has the chance to return to 2.Bundesliga while 1860 was in third league 22 years ago. Both teams meet each other exactly one year ago. This was in Cup and it was a very close one but 1860 could win the game 2-1 and advanced. This time Holstein Kiel is hot and wants to turn things around.

The team from Coach Neitzel has not the best start and they did not well in first half of the season and stands only on Place 8 but in second half they start a good run and they were unbeaten 15 times in a row but the 7 wins between Round 24 and 30 put them in a very good position. They had the chance till the end to get promoted directly but they lost the direct duel against rival MSV Duisburg. Additional the weak performance on the road where they lost all last 4 games let them fail in the end.

The man of success is for sure Coach Neitzel who did a great job and he trust a very balanced starting lineup over the last weeks, month. Therefore it is not far away that he changes not much. He trusts the same as he did lately. They play a very good system above all in offensive where the players change the positions a lot what is hard to defend for the opponent. The guys who are there are very quick and a big hope is on former 1860 player Schläffler who plays up front. Behind him are Siedschlag, Kazior and Heider which support him. Nevertheless the best part from Kiel is the defense, they allowed only 30 goals in 38 matches what is a very good number. The defensive line is working very well and they are very hard to beat although they have not much experience there. Only Kohlmann has played high before but the team spirit is very good and allows them to play on a high level.

The team from Munich 1860 had some problems in the past but this season is a disaster. Before the start new Coach Moniz talk from promotion but this was far away from reality. He must leave after a very bad start, next one von Ahlen could also not manage the turnaround and was fired. After U23 Coach Fröhling took over the situation is getting a bit better but not as expected. He collected 18 Points in 13 matches what was enough to end up on Place 16. It was very close till the end but they have the chance to avoid to be relegated in these two games. If you take a look at some of the last games you can see that the luck was on their side like against Nürnberg or on last Round where Aue played only 2-2.

The personal situation is better as one week ago. With Kagelmacher returns a important player after suspension and replace youngster Kovac who played against KSC but could not convince much. All the other positions remain unchanged in defense, also in central midfield with Weigl and Stahl. In offensive there can be a few changes because with Rama is an important and dangerous player back from suspension. He can be an option for the starting lineup also youngster Wolf, both are alternatives to Wittek and Simon. It is absolutely needed because the offensive play was not exists against KSC and needs some fresh power. Up front they have not much available, all Spain players are not in the squad anyway and Rodri and Hain could not convince in the past what allow long injured Okotie to start here. They hope for his goals but he is far away from good after his injury. He search for his form but he has some good memories on Kiel because he scored twice in Cup against them.   

Hamburger SV - Karlsruher SC

Still one Place left in 1.Bundesliga. For this last Place fight Hamburger SV and Karlsruher SC. This is the first game which will be played in Hamburg today while some days later KSC has home advantage. It is the same scenario as last Season for Hamburg where they saved them with two draws (0-0 and 1-1) against Greuther Fürth. It was only due to the away goal that they could avoid relegation. They were totally outplayed in first game at home but Fürth was not able to take advantage despite big opportunities to score. Nevertheless Hamburg’s players know the situation already but they can not sit back and relax. It is a do or die game and the nerves can be very important here. Of course Karlsruher has nothing to lose and they come to Hamburg with a lot of self confidence anyway. They was already in 3.Bundesliga for one year but after 2013/14 they are back in 2.Bundesliga and they did a good job so far. They are a team with an absolutely uptrend and they want to celebrate the comeback into 1.Bundesliga after 6 years absent now. Overall the last play off matches between 1.Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga speaks clear for the 1.BL.

It was already very close for Hamburg but they made the right chance and their fourth Coach this Season Labbadia has found the right words and tricks to motivate this weak team. He came 6 Rounds before the Season ends and he managed to collect 10 Points what brought them on 16. Place. This was only due to their win against Schalke and some of their rivals lose. Maybe this time they come with a better mood in the two games above all after recent success. A big difference to last season, they came into these important two games with 5 defeats in a row.

Some important decisions must be made by Labbadia because with Van der Vaart is a player back from suspension but he has not the best form lately but is important for some standard actions. Against Schalke Diaz played well and can replace him well again this time. Apart from Kacar is the same lineup expected from Saturday. But some problems arrived because with Lassoga and Olic are two players doubtful. Both have slight problems but if he must pass it is not the best sign above all in offensive the alternatives are less. With Rudnevs is the first replacement sure out while all the other players like Jiracek, Janssen, Behrami and Drobny are all not available too.

Till Round 31 KSC was unbeaten 2015 but with the lose in Aue and the following match against rival Darmstadt all their promotion hopes seems gone but they managed a good comeback with two wins in the last two Rounds what brought them in this situation. If they had continued the way they are sure direct promoted but they have to go this way now. Nevertheless the chance exists for promotion and they want to take it, of course.

It is like always for KSC this season, they have squad problems. Coach Kauczinski has to replace some despite two guys are back from suspension (Yabo and Peitz) and can help the team maybe. Compared to the last game it is not sure if these three players can play. DEF Gordon is doubtful but he has the best chance to play, if not, Stoll is the first alternative. MID Yamada is not able to train and he is out for sure, he will be replaced by Yabo who takes the central offensive position in midfield then. The other player who returns with Peitz is on bench and only a sub anyway. The biggest miss can be their best scorer Hennings. He could not train on Tuesday and Wednesday and the situation is not the best for him. This can be that he faces a late test if he can play or not. If he must pass the first option is Micanski.

SV Darmstadt 98 - FC St. Pauli

This it the next match with almost the same scenario. Darmstadt is currently on second Place what means they are directly promoted but they have to do their home work first. A win is necessary if they want to be absolutely sure and if they do not want to look on both KSC and Kaiserslautern. But on the other side St. Pauli is fighting against relegation and they are only 1 Points ahead of FSV and 2 of Aue. This means that they need a result here above all if they do not want to look on other teams. If they do not want to get in trouble or must play relegation play off they need a win here too. With a draw they can fall down to place 16, nothing more.

The new promoted team from Darmstadt can hope for the next surprise this season again. They are very close and they can do the last step today. They had already a Matchpoint last weekend against Fürth but they could not use it and lost 0-1 there. But hold all in their own hands again. They had some weak weeks but turn things around and won against both rival Lautern and KSC in recent weeks. This put them back big in promotion race.
The team from Coach Schuster knows the situation and they can handle the pressure as they did already almost one year ago if they come to Bielefeld and no known has put a cent on them but they managed the comeback and they turn this encounter completely. This time it is the next final for them and they can not count on important Bregerie who is suspended today. His replacement is Gorka who replaced Sulu some weeks ago very well. So it should not be a big change anyway. All expect the same lineup as against Fürth, the only change can be maybe up front when Stroh-Engel move back into the starting lineup while König must on bench then.

St. Pauli coming to Darmstadt with good self confidence and moral. They were down but they did a very good job and won 5 of their last 7 what brings them in a good position but this is not enough. They must go all in for the last game if they do not want to get in play off matches. Of course it depends also on the result from all other teams who are involved on the bottom.
The Mission from Coach Lienen is to hold St. Pauli on track and they must look forward and go into the final match with all they have available. Before the match in Kaiserslautern said Coach Lienen: Normally we have not chance here but they won 2-0 in the end. The form is there, for sure. He counts on the same lineup he trusts in the past weeks already. The only change is Alushi who is back from suspension and replace Rzatkowski. A big question mark stands behind captain Gonther who was out early against Bochum with some muscle problems and he could not train this week. They decide short before the match if he can play or not. If Gonther must pass, Ziereis is the first alternative for him.

Karlsruher SC - 1860 München

We have tow teams with different situations. First KSC is big involved in promotion battle, with a win they can secure third place for sure and can hope on the other side if Darmstadt fail that they get promoted immediately. On the other side 1860 is fighting against relegation, they have all in their hand, what a look on the table show. Nevertheless they are even with FSV Frankfurt and only 1 Point ahead of Aue. Of course they have the better goal difference but they must try to win this if they do not want to give this out of their hands and must look on both others.

The year 2015 was good for KSC, they did really well from Round 19 to Round 30 but in the past they could not hold their level high and with to defeats in a row they gave a lot away. Nevertheless they are in the battle for promotion with Darmstadt and Kaiserslautern. With the win last weekend in Braunschweig they brought them back in a good position but they must go the last step today what is a hard one anyway. 

All in all they need a win here to be absolutely sure because with Kaiserslautern in their back what has normally an easy match against Champion Ingolstadt who celebrated almost all week now. But the squad situation is not the best before this encounter. Coach Kauczinski miss with Kempe and Traut both long term injured also central back Mauersberger injured and key midfield player Yabo and Peitz suspended. Both can play in central midfield and they are less of options there now. Additional they have with Krebs and Yamada two guys not 100% ready as both are facing slight injuries. Both are doubtful for this game but maybe they bring them ready because of this important game today. If both can play Krebs and Meffert playing the central position in midfield while Yamada plays on the wing and rotate with Nazarov in the central offensive position. The defensive row is completely the same from last weekend. Also top scorer Hennings is ready up front and one of the big hopes for KSC today. 

This is one of their most important games above all for their club history. With 10 Points out of 5 games has 1860 done well and they put them in a good position right now. They have all in their own hands but they have to win if they want to be absolutely sure that they fall now down and become relegated what is the worst case for them anyway. For 1860 it is all up from their form as they had good games but also very weak games in the past above all the home game against Union 0-3 was a big disaster. If they win they do this very close, therefore this one can be stretched.

The situation is not the best at 1860 squad wise, they miss a lot of players today. The half defensive line is not available today. With Kagelmacher and Rama they miss two guys suspended while Vallori face a huge knee injury. Coach Fröhling must build up a new defensive line a he trust there Bülow in central back and Angha on the back wing. Both have played several times already and this maybe should not the biggest problem but in such a important match so many changes it is not the best sign. Before they travel to Karlsruher all the plans from Coach are invalid because Angha got ill and they have a big problem on the back wing now. With Angha, Kagelmacher and Volz are all players for this position out now. But what should they do, they must bring all their power on the pitch and this is what counts today. This put Kovac from second team U23 in the starting lineup today. He gives his debut today. The offensive power should bring Vollmann (replace Rama), Wittek and Simon. Up front is a changes possible because Rodri was really bad against Nürnberg and the alternatives are back with Hain and Okotie.

Bayern München - FSV Mainz 05

Statistic:

- Bayern won all the last 5 duels with Mainz 05 with 14-3 goals.

- Only 2012/13 they lost in their own stadium to Hoffenheim 1-2 who saved them with this result.

- Leverkusen scored 97 goals against Frankfurt, they need still 3 for 100 !!
- Frankfurt is unbeaten since 10 home games (6-4-0), 2000 they managed 15 games without a lose.
- The last home defeat was in November last year to Bayern 0-4.
- 29 of their 40 Points collected Frankfurt in their Arena, with 1 win more they have a new record.
- Leverkusen lost only 1 of the last 6 road games (3-2-1).

1860 München - 1.FC Nürnberg

The derby in the „Allianz Arena“ between 1860 Munich and 1.FC Nürnberg is one of the most important games in club history for 1860 today. They are on Place 17. right now and only two Rounds left. This means that they must win this one to be in the race fort he last matchday to avoid relegation. If they must go down it would be the biggest worst case for them. The opponent from Nürnberg comes to Munich without any pressure, their season is gone and they play for nothing. It was a disappointing one but nevertheless they are safe and can hurt 1860 here. Also they come with 10.000 supporters to Munich.

The last home games from 1860 in the big Arena were watched from only 20.000 fans but this time the stadium is maybe sold out with 70.000. This can be additional pressure for the players because they do not know this maybe. It is more as questionable how the players react on the huge crowd today. Moreover the home games were not much successful for them anyway. In 16 home games they got only 13 Points what brought them in such a bad situation. If they lose this game today, the are almost relegated.

Coach Fröhling has to do a lot of work and he has to changes a lot too. Their top striker Okotie is not available due to suspension but he was not fit 100% after his long injury time anyway. The next one with Hain was very hopeful that he can play but after saturday it is clear that he must pass. Despite two strikers already out he must find the next one, Rodri can be the man for that today. Behind him he can field a midfield with 3 offensive guys like Rama, Wolf and Adlung. If Adlung move to offenisve a play in defensive midfield is open and this can play Stahl who is back again. He plays then beside Weigl.

All from team Nürnberg talk about this game and they want to be a hard opponent. They take this game very serious and this is very good to give a sign to all the other teams in the league. The form is good and they got 7 Points from the last 3 games and this must be continued.

The offensive must be build new compared to the game against Braunschweig. With Burgstaller is a guy suspended today while Sylvestr returns from suspension what is a 1 to 1 change and not a lot of problems to Weiler anyway. A problem is Kerk so far who has some problmes, if he is not available Koch can move into the team and replace him. The defensive line will be unchanged because of less alternatives. Both Mössmer and Polak are not available longer but with only two matches to play it should be not the biggest problem in the end.

Erzgebirge Aue - 1.FC Kaiserslautern

Both team have to play for something here. Aue has a lot to do to avoid releagation while Kaiserslautern had all in their hand but gave this away last weekend with the lose to St. Pauli. They need help from other teams to get back on 2nd place and manage the direct promotion. Both teams Aue 16. And Kaiserslautern 3. are on places which makes them not very happy. They want to climb up at least one but for this they should win both last games. Therefore this can be a very interesting one.

Aue is in good shape and they won 4 of their last 6 games what put them in this position they are now. Of course it is not the best but the are still alive and they can fight till the end for their aim. The team from Aue do really well and they are working as team what is very important in relegation trouble. Coach Stipic has formed a good and balanced team.

Coach Stipic was very pleased with the results lately and he wants to field the same lineup who won twice recently. All guys are ready, only Novikovas has to pass what means that Coach Stipic has a lot to choose and a lot to choose in running too. With Alibaz and Kortzorg they have to creative players while Klingbeil and Paulus are really defenisve specialists. With Mugosa they have a player in their rows who comes form Kaiserslautern on loan and he wants to bring in all to hold them in 2.Bundesliga. In this case he has to hurt his former club here. The form is there as he scored 3 goals in the last 2 games.

After two defeats in a row Kaiserslautern fall down but all are very positive and they are very happy to be in the race for promotion. They want to try all to get back on 2nd place. The motivation is there and the team is working hard for this aim under the week. Nevertheless they big problems in front of the goal.

The last game was not the best and it is very possible that Coach Runjaic changes a lot today. The first one is maybe in goal, Sippel returns and replace Müller there. In defensive Heubach is back and he can replace weak Heintz. The offenisve part is absolutely less an alternatives because with Matmour and Gaus are two creative players injured while Stöger is suspended today. This is not the best time as mentioned the offenisve is the biggest problem right now above all scoring. With Hofmann can play a tall guy in the box while Zoller comes over the wing and play also beside Hofmann in some periods of the game. Whatever it is needed. Next big problem is maybe that they never could win in Aue !!!

Above all the Cup Final in Berlin against Dortmund, this can be a warm up for both. The next big thing is to bring Bas Dost in as best Goalgetter of the league. He has scored already 16 goals in 19 matches he played but he needs 3 more to be even with leader Meier (injured and can not extend his lead). Coach Hecking and also the team said that he wants to bring him in good position and try to assist him in the last two games. They want to play with full strength here and give him the best possible help. Additional is Coach Hecking trying to hold the pressure on his team high to be as focused as they can till the end of the season and the important Cup Final in their club history.

After one of the weakest first half of the season Dortmund is bouncing back a bit and they have the chance for an international spot again. They brought them in a good position in the last games already and they want to try to get the job done. If on the normal way, like league where they only 3 Points back to 6 Place or Cup Final. The chances are there and Coach Klopp wants to leave Dortmund with a good feeling and something in hand he can remember maybe. They are doing by far better as to the end of last year although they have always some injured players to replace. With Bender and Kehl they have to guys in central midfield doubtful again while Reus is back in team training. If they want to reach the international spot over the league they have to continue they style of play from recent weeks. The offensive is doing well and with Reus back they can get an additional boost.

Both Coaches said that they do not want to rest players or play with a B-Team according to the Cup Final ahead in two weeks. Therefore I am very keen that this can be an interesting encounter who can be very open if the first goal comes. Both teams have to play for here and they can not sit back. Goals are there for sure !!!

We spoke a lot about Bremen this season and they did use a great favor this season as well with some nice wins. Once again we want to trust them maybe in this encounter. Coach Skripnik is the right man  on the right place at the moment. He gave Bremen back a lot of self confidence, motivation, moral and sprit even all what a team needs for success. All the players are doing a great job so far and they are trying to improve form week to week. The outcome is very good, from a relegation candidate up to a team who have the chance for a European Spot this season what happened for long time here. No one is talking about the EL but they hope or dream from. The defensive line is a bit less of alternatives as with Galvez, Garcia and Fritz they have 3 players not ready here but with Prödl returns one central back who was ill last weekend. The offensive looks great and all their weapons are ready. Coach Skripnik can choose from a lot there and maybe he changes a bit and bring fresh and young guns in with Öztunali and Bartels. Above all Bartels who was not ready in Hannover can make the difference in their offensive play above all in counter attacks. His quickness is needed and he bring both Di Santo and Selke in good positions maybe.

We must not talk a lot from Gladbach, they play a very good season and they did their job in the last games very well. They are high flying at the moment and it looks like their run never ends. But let's take a look at some games. From the last 7 games they won 6 !!! What is incredible, most of them at home because they have a run there with 9 wins in a row, away from home they have their problems. But against which opponents they have won? Bayern Munich, 1899 Hoffenheim, Dortmund, VfL Wolfsburg, Hertha BSC and Leverkusen. What have all these teams together? Of course they do not play defensive minded, they play offensive and they want to control the game what speaks a lot for Gladbach. If you watched all these games, it was always the same. Gladbach maybe took the lead early and play a huge defensive system after that. Their opponent must open and they can come out with their fast and amazing counter attacks above all Hermann is one of the key players here. Against Hertha they won of course but they did hard although Hertha is not such an offensive minded team from all mentioned above. Against Frankfurt they got only a draw and this was not their best play anyway there. This time they have to come out and try to take part in the game what is not their biggest strength right now. Karlsruher SC - SV Darmstadt 98

We can expect a fantastic final in promotion race because with 3 teams very close to each other what will be very interesting and bring some exiting for the last two Rounds. With Karlsruhe (52 Points) and Darmstadt (53) face two teams each other which can climb up with a win to second and a direct promotion place. This is only due to Kaiserslautern’s defeat at home against St. Pauli. A very important fact because they can take the Pole position in promotion race and get all in their own hands while the others must hope for some help to have a chance again.

The team from Karlsruhe failed in Aue 1-3 last weekend and got the first defeat 2015. This was not the best time right now above all against a team who plays against relegation but this shows that all is possible in this close league. With important midfield player Yabo back in training Coach Kauczinski can count on his preferred starting lineup again today. For Yabo must Nazarov on bench again, he replaced Micanski after the break in Aue but both could not convince much. It is also not so possible that Kauczinski field two attackers as he wants much more stability in this important game. Therefore in form striker Hennings is the man up front and bring the win with his goals. Also possible can be a change in central midfield where Meffert has the pole position but beside him was Krebs not in his best form. For him can play Peitz but he is not 100% fit. The next option can be that Krebs move forward and Yabo plays beside Meffert what can be a good solution.

It is very funny what newcomer Darmstadt plays for a great season. Many of the experts saw them not in this position and also after 3 games without a win they expected the preferred set back from a team who is high flying this season. But with the win against Kaiserslautern last weekend they showed their best face again and they are for sure a team for promotion nevertheless how the result is today. Coach Schuster is very pleased about his team and they do a great work. Despite the miss from captain Sulu today they are very promise to make the next step and get the win. The first replacement is Gorka and he is an experienced player and should not be a big problem for Darmstadt but he power and presence from Sulu is huge in Darmstadt’s play. All the other positions remain unchanged to last weekend although midfield player Gondorf is light injured but he can play here. If not, Jungwirth is the first one to replace him. Up front Coach Schuster thinks a lot because König played last weekend and scored what brings him in a good position to start again but Stroh-Engel has much more credit as promotion hero and with his goals from last season.

1.FC Nürnberg - Eintracht Braunschweig

This encounter take place in Nürnberg between both relegated teams from last year. Both played 1.Bundesliga one year ago but must go down after a very bad season. Both had big aims this season above all Nürnberg but they failed huge while Braunschweig did also not so well but they have the big chance here to return into relegation fight although they are almost far away from that. Nevertheless with a win they can get close to the third place and with playing KSC next sunday at home, they have a big chance here.

The season was a big disaster for Nürnberg, they made some bad decisions with newcomer Ismael as Head Coach or the players they signed. This is all about Sport Manager Bader because he build up this team and has also the sole responsibility. After a long time they changed the Coach and Weiler took over. It is also a very unknown Coach in Germany but he brought Nürnberg a bit back on track and the hope returns in Nürnberg but all the mistakes they made he could not safe. He had a long run without a win lately but against Sandhausen they celebrated the needed win at home and they were close to beat leader Ingolstadt last monday. It looks like that they are coming out and doing better again now. The pressure is gone because they have nothing to play for this season. With Sylvestr they miss their attacker suspended today but the collective should replace him anyway here.

It was not because Braunschweig playing such good and running from win to win, it was more the silliness from the teams above that they have the chance for promotion again. Almost all teams failed in recent weeks above them and with a win today they are back in promotion race and maybe get some back in their own hands with the match next sunday against KSC in their own stadium. Nevertheless first they have to jump over Nürnberg but this is not an easy one. Above all away from home Brauschweig has a lot of problems and if Nielsen has not his best day it is hard for Braunschweig to win. They are not a team which can score like hell, they are doing hard, very hard to score and bring something on the scoreboard. With Pfitzner they miss also a guy suspended but should be replaced. Some others are out too but not worth to talk about.

Very funny match here. Nürnberg can play relaxed while Braunschweig must do the job today. This can be a big help for Nürnberg as they are much better if they can play on counter and go over their quick players like Schöpf, Kerk, Blum or Burgstaller. We putting this up as an official advice despite Nürnberg plays for nothing and Braunschweig plays for all .... The home strength is the key and also the must win situation for Braunschweig open more an more space for Nürnberg what is needed for their style of play.

Eintracht Frankfurt - 1899 Hoffenheim

Here again, we have a match between two teams who have to play for something. Eintracht Frankfurt is not safe yet but the more important fact is that they must bring this season to a good end above all if they lose places they have 2,5 Mio less for next season. This is according due to a 5 years TV plan and every place from 1 till 18 is rewarded. On the other side 1899 is fighting for an international spot and they are very close this season.

After their top scorer (Meier) and maybe head of the team got injured it was not much what Frankfurt brought not much on the pitch and their offensive play is very limited or harmless right now. Some good news they have in bag because with Aigner returns a creative player who can make the difference in their play and he was not available in the last two games. He was missed huge. Now he is back and should help to bring the offensive play rolling with his goals and assists, dribbling. Some bad news too, because with Meier and Kittel (huge knee injury)already out is additional defender Anderson (knee injury) out. This is the next big miss for them this season.

The team from Hoffenheim did a good job so far, but away they had some problems this season. Although they have very talented and quick players in their rows what speaks for them above all if you can go for fast counter attacks. But they were not able to bring all their power on the pitch away from home. The last matches they should try to improve or turn things around. They can get rewarded very well with their first international spot in their young club history.

Coach Schaaf is known as offensive fan and he allows his team to play very open. This happened also to Bremen last weekend where they showed a good game but missed to score. This time it can be time to bring something on the scoreboard above all against a team from  1899 which have their potential more in offensive as in defensive. Both teams are better in offensive and allow more in defense. This game speaks for goals ……

Hannover 96 - Werder Bremen

We have again a encounter between two teams which different aims. The home team has a lot to play for because with 24 Points to winter break they were on 8th place and looked more up as down but after the break they are on a huge 15 matches winless run and got only 6 Points on their side what put them down to red zone and the situation is getting dangerous for them. On the other side Bremen was in a bad position at winter break but Skripnik found the key to get them rolling again and they are close to reach an international spot this season after a long time now.

The winless run continues although it was a won Point last weekend because they were 0-2 down in Wolfsburg and after the half time they managed the comeback. Of course it was only due to the relaxed playing team from Wolfsburg but nevertheless they had the winning goal on their shoe with Prib but he missed. New Coach Frontzeck was not very pleased about his team and he wants more concentration and more input from his team in relegation battle. For this he goes with them to a 3 days trainings camp and he wants to build the team spirit and give some self confidence back what is needed anyway. He has to count on players who are there but some of them are not build for relegation battle and disappointed a lot like Kiyotake, Joselu, Gülselam, Albornoz and Peireira. All in all they paid 11 Mio. for them, the biggest amount in their history. But they are not ahead of their best level and help them not much lately. Good news are that captain Stindl is back from suspension and can help his team again.

It looked like that the same situation from last season happened again in Bremen but Coach Skripnik was able to turn things around and they start to be a very hard opponent for some of the BL teams and they used their good counter style to be as successful as they can. Some players make a bit step forward under Skripnik and the style of play is also a big plus for some of the players. The euphoria is there and they want to be as successful as they can but it is not a must as Manager Eichin said. He can count on Vestergaard after he missed last match but he missed Prödl therefore it is a 1-1 replace in defensive. The other players are ready and can help to make the next step and put some pressure on the teams above them.

Important match for both, a draw is to less for both, therefore it is very possible that if one team takes the lead it is a very open one. This encounter is normally perfect for goals, both have to invest a lot and open more and more if goals comes no matter for which team.

It is all up to Bayern Munich here. If they take this encounter serious they will win it for sure. But after the 0-3 defeat under the week in Barcelona they maybe rest some players and try to get them as fresh as they can for Thuesday. This is the more important game right now despite they are almost without any chance to turn this result around. The Title is already safe but it is the only one this season. Nevertheless they should try to be as serious as they can as a lot of teams are very angry about the lineups from Bayern in the past above all in Leverkusen. They take this much more serious today.

The team from Augsburg is still fighting for an european Spot and they have all in their hand right now. But if they continue the way result wise they are soon or later out of this good position. Above all their weak away performance cost them maybe this surprise. With some players doubtful above all wing Werner who are always good for some action and creative play should be a big miss. If he must pass it is not obvious that Coach Weinzierl changes some in starting lineup. He moves Bobadilla on the wing while Möders and Matavz are candidates for the position in attack. Also Köhr and Höjberg are candidates for the starting lineup but it is open which lineup he field, maybe he tries some today.

The lineup looks good for Bayern and I am sure that they do not lose again today. Augsburg has won 13 month ago when Bayern rest a lot of players but this time they are much more focused and also they play in Munich.

1.FC Kaiserslautern - FC St. Pauli

This one is a very interesting match if you take a look on the table. At first has Kaiserslautern the chance to become a 1.Bundesliga team again but they have to do their job in their last 3 games while St. Pauli stands short before a disaster. They need every Point to avoid relegation or to stay in the race until the end of the season.

The best home team has normally all in their hand what a short look on the table shows. They have 54 Points already and stand on second Place what allows the direct promotion. If they win all their last 3 games it is sure that never can bring them in danger but the matches are not such easy as on paper. They play to teams who are in huge danger, St. Pauli and Aue while the last match can be an easy one if Ingolstadt is already promoted and has celebrated this many days. Nevertheless the next match is the match they have to be focused and put all their power and strength in it. They have to let all behind them, also the shaky decisions against them in some of the recent matches. This time they play at home and the stadium should be almost full and push them additional. The “Betzenberg” is known for their great fans and atmosphere. Coach Runjaic wants to count on almost the same starting eleven as last week. Only one change must be made maybe as with defender Heubach is a guy injured who should be replaced by Heintz. Not a big problem at all.

The team from Hamburg showed their big fighting spirit last Sunday and they won deserved against RB Leipzig 1-0. It was hard work from the whole team but are they able to bring all this on the pitch again. This match has cost a lot of power and mental power too. Coach Lienen said he wants to look first what players are fresh enough to hold the pressure stand on “Betzenberg”. He said also that they has no chance there, they need an excellent day if they want to get here something. He missed his captain Gonther suspended here what means that he has to build a new defending line. With Ziereis he has a young player in the back who can play the position but has not the experience from Gonther. Striker Nöthe and Budimir are not ready yet while Verhoek and Choi are ready again.

It speaks all for Kaiserlsautern and I am sure that they are very hot above all after the last disappointing matches and also decisions against them, they put all in this now and show that there is never any doubt about their promotion this season. Coach Runjaic can count on the fans, his team and the strength above all at home. St. Pauli needs a perfect day and I am not so sure if they can bring such an excellent performance as last weekend. My cents are on Kaiserslautern !!!

Hamburger SV - SC Freiburg

Hamburg's new Coach Labbadia has find the right words and he motivates his team very well. They are by far better as to Zinnbauer's or Knäbels times. Here Labbadia has to look what he has available. Ilicevic must pass maybe, for him can play Holtby or he changes the system to 4-4-2 what brings Jansen in a good position to play on the wing while Olic can play beside Lasogga in attack.
Out for Hamburg are Müller who got injured against Mainz, Behrami and Cleber.

Some problems arrive in Freiburg additional to their bad position right now. Coach Streich has to find the right balance and also the right players. It is not sure that Sorg, Frantz and Petersen can play, all are more as doubtful. This means some changes what is not the best sign at the moment. If Frantz must pass the first replacement can be Klaus, Petersen can maybe start .... if not, Mehmedi move in attack. Also Mitrovic is an alternative to Höfler. It is all up to Streich and his feeling what players he trusts here.

I expect a big fight, both teams are hot what can be seen on the pitch, watch and enjoy.

FC Ingolstadt 04 - 1.FC Nürnberg

It is derby time !!! Ingolstadt hosts Nürnberg but the situation is a bit different to recent years. Normally Nürnberg talked from promotion before the season but failed huge and Ingolstadt is in the position to promote this season. They are leader and have 5 Points advantage to second and 6 Points to third place. This means with a win today they are very very close to promote. This is the first step from two which are needed or maybe they need 4 Points from the last 4 games they have to play. According to the situation it can be that they can be promoted next weekend because Karlsruhe plays Darmstadt in a direct duel what helps Ingolstadt additional.

It is absolutely clear, the leader has managed to improve a lot and one of the key facts are that they are a top team at home too and not only on the road like recent seasons. The next thing is that they have a very good defensive line who works great and also one of the best offensive lines who scored second most goals right now. Some of their players made a big step too, above all key player Gross who plays an incredible good season. Additional fact is that most of their new signings put them on the next level with their experience and strength. This time they have some players doubtful like striker Hinterseer who has some problems with illness, his replacement can be Hartmann who have scored 44 goals for Ingolstadt so far and with two more he can overcome the top man Leitl. He is very hot to get the job done this season already. But he has also time next season because he signed a new contract over two years this weekend. Next problem is Danillo who can only play with a special shoe. It is not sure if he stands on the pitch today. Sure not available is defender and captain Matip, he got injured and the season is over for him. Nevertheless most of the squad is ready and Coach Hasenhüttl can choose from a lot. He wants the next step in promotion race anyway.

A big disappointment is the season from Nürnberg because most of the experts saw them under the top teams to promote and also their own aim was this too. They had a lot of problems, and the squad was also not like they expected. Some of the new signed players are far away from their best level. Also they wanted to go an absolutely new way and signed an unexperienced Coach with newcomer Ismael. This worked not well and they must change to Weiler who is also unknown in Germany but he does maybe some good things but overall it was to late to get a better outcome. They are absolutely weak on the road and got not much there, what allowed them not to dream from more. For this match they have three big question marks with captain Polak, defender Petrak and midfield player Mössmer. Coach Weiler said that he is very happy if one of these guys can start today. This is not the best sign anyway.

FSV Mainz 05 - Hamburger SV

Statistic:

- After 9 winless games, Hamburg celebrated a win last weekend (Augsburg 3-2).
- They lost 5 games in a row and this win was very important for them.
- They had also a scoreless run since 595 minutes who ends there.
- With Schmidt on the sideline Mainz collected in 9 games more wins as under Hjulmand in 21 games.
- HSV has a lot of problems in front of the goal and they have only 19 goals scored in 30 games.
- All teams who had such bad numbers were relegated, like Tasmania Berlin, Cologne and Lautern.
- 6 of their last 8 goals comes after standards. Mainz is very dangerous there with Geis.
- HSV was not able to win if they fall behind (16 from 17 matches lost).
- But if HSV can take the lead they are very strong with 7-1-1.
- But if you can see, they were only able to take the lead in 9 of 29 games.


This one can be a close match, Mainz is safe and can play very relaxed while Hamburg has the pressure on their side with the results from yesterday. Only Stuttgart and Freiburg failed while Hannover got a Point and Paderborn was winning.

For Mainz is Bungert a question mark, if he must pass his replacement is Noveski. On HSV side Behrami is out.

VfR Aalen - VfL Bochum

This one is an important encounter for both teams, above all Aalen stands under huge pressure because they got 2 Points denied and with this they are even with both bottom teams St. Pauli and Aue what means that they are very close to relegation. On the other side has Bochum 35 Points already but they are not safe with this number. Therefore this is also an important game for Bochum above all not to lose there and they can look forward much more easier to the last 3 weeks of the season.

The team from Coach Ruthenbeck was almost dead but they managed the run from 7 unbeaten games recently what brought them back into the race to avoid relegation. But for this they have to walk on and the last 4 games are the most important now. Above all the home games are there to win. With Bochum and Heidenheim they face tams who are maybe on the level from Aalen and they have the form to beat this teams. But if you take a look at recent results and against what teams they have lost at home, it was not against top teams from the league, it was more against teams who are at their level because this teams are much more difficult to play maybe. Against top teams you can look forward and go for counter attacks but this time they have to make the game and what this will be for Aalen is much more difficult. Almost the same lineup is preferred from the last successful weeks, the only and biggest problem is that both keeper are injured. Fejzic is out for sure while Bernhardt got injured against FSV last weekend and got a knee injury, he wants to return on friday in training but I am not sure with a cut. He can not make some moves with this in my eyes and is a doubt here. This means that third keeper has to give his debut today.

VfL Bochum comes to Aalen with some problems in the bag. They did not well the last 4 Rounds and got nothing what put them back near the relegation zone. Therefore they have to look that they do not lose this encounter otherwise they are in huge trouble for the last 3 games above all next weekend they face leader Ingolstadt. This is not the best situation because they have a very bad record against this team. Overall they must take all possible power in this game and try to be as successful as they can. With top striker Terodde in their rows they can hope that he shots the last doubts away. Coach Verbeek has a lot of self confidence and he is very proud of his teams because they played well as he said, the only 30 minutes in Munich were bad, all the other things are well above all against teams like Kaiserslautern, Darmstadt and Leipzig. He said additional against such teams you can lose but this time he wants to win. Maybe it is better to play away as at home, they are much more dangerous on the road and therefore a good sign for today.

I am expecting a close encounter with two teams fighting for their life and positions in the league. Aalen has an incredible run actually but nevertheless the much more potential is on Bochum's side what I am believe in. The style of play under Verbeek is good and they should use some of their chances here not to lose in the end.

- Wolfsburg lost 5 of their last 6 BL games with Hannover.
- The last duel was won from Wolfsburg with 3-1 in Hannover.
- From 2008 till 2010 won Wolfsburg 6 derbies in a row.
- Wolfsburg is unbeaten this season in their Arena, the only team right now.
- The streak is 20 games now, but they want continue the run of course.
- The last defeat in their own Arena was 2014 to Bayern Munich 1-6.
- Hannover scored 48,5% of their goals after standards.
- In second half of the season Hannover scored only 5 from their 12 goals in running.
- Hannover was not able to get more as 4 Points from the last 9 road games.

This game is an interesting one above all if you take a look at both teams and what they have to play for. Wolfsburg are not sure second and they need some Points because they are only 4 Points ahead of Gladbach. This is their main target now. On the other side Hannover has much more problems, they fight against relegation and after they have changed their Coach it was not well anyway last weekend. It is hard to see this team not get more and more in trouble above all they have not real spirit and mood in their team right now. Coach Frontzeck has not found the right words and also not the right system so far. Nevertheless this is a hard derby and it can be very hot on the pitch and also under both supporter groups.

After knocking out from Euro League Wolfsburgs aim was to reach the Cup final, this job they have done very easy with a 3-0 win against the 3rd league leader Bielefeld. Next target must be to safe second place, nothing more nothing less. But moreover they can bring Hannover more in trouble today with a win. At home they are very strong and it not obvious that they win this encounter above after failing the last two home games against Hannover. This time they want to do better and the situation is much better additional. The team is in great form and the players are hot to get the next big party in their Arena. Compared to the Cup game under the week it can be that Coach Hecking rotates a bit. Possible changes can be Knoche for Klose, Schäfer for Rodriguez, Guilavogui for Arnold and Bendtner for Dost. Wolfsburg has the players to use all mistakes immediately and the players are very quick. Of course, 1899 want revenge for the Cup knock out where they was an equal opponent and they were very close to advance to next round but it was only due to their bad scoring efficiency and the great shot form Kehl who let them not advance. The stats are all speaking for 1899 if you take a look in the last seasons and also if you take in mind that Dortmund had to go over 120 minutes + penalties to advance to the cup final. 1899 showed that they are able to hurt Dortmund and they are also able with their players to do this again and maybe get more of their opportunities finished this time. With Firmino and Volland they have two excellent players in their row who can hurt every opponent on a good day. Also the attackers with Modeste, Schipplock or Szalai up front are good enough here. The defensive line showed also that they can do a good job, although they had some problems lately. Very important game for Dortmund too. Ok, they are in Cup Final but they have to win the Cup to start for sure next season in Euro League. On the other side, if they lose the Cup final to Wolfsburg they have to be 7th in league and they are of course qualified for Euro League too. At the moment sit 1899 on the 7th place but only a few Points behind Augsburg and Schalke. Dortmund are not far away and with 4 Rounds to go, there are all chances of course. But can they get their tired legs ready for this encounter, and how fresh they are after a long and hard season with a lot of problems and injury worries. Maybe Coach Klopp can motivate his team here but what they showed in Munich was not much. They was far away from their best level and also from good and old times too. It was only due to the referee who let them back into the match and in the end it is more a coin toss if you have to go into the penalty shot out. They have the better end for them, good but if you take a look at the match, they never should have won this. I was not very pleased about the performance from some of the players from Dortmund. Overall this is a very close encounter to me, Dortmund is not such favorite here and they are far away from their best and their form from recent years. The season showed this and I believe that 1899 continue the way from recent years. They never lose two times in one season against Dortmund in league games. And at home they are always good and dangerous above all for spectacle maybe too. I am expecting at least a draw here.
